Neal’s philosophy on automotive service was just that. He was in the service business. He was there to make life easier for the customer, to take the stress out of automotive maintenance and repair. He felt he was in the people fixing business, his method was cars. In being consistent with that line of thought, the first order of business was to get a shuttle van to get the customers back and forth easily. Next was a wrecker. Then a fully equipped road service truck. He then rounded it out with a flatbed for those vehicles that couldn’t be towed with a wheel lift. He named the fleet after his son’s nickname, “Buddy.” Of course, Neal painted and lettered them all himself.
